Molly Willow

I’m Katie, the artist and owner of Molly Willow.

I am a UK Registered nurse, something I am very proud of. 
My journey began in 2025, after experiencing my first mental burnout alongside perimenopause. 

During my recovery, I rediscovered my love of drawing and colouring. It became the one thing that quieted my mind and helped me truly switch off  and I haven’t stopped drawing and colouring since.

Every page in my colouring books is hand-drawn from my own imagination and started the old fashion way with a pencil and sketch book, with little pieces of my life, family and memories woven throughout.

The name behind my brand “Molly Willow”  is especially close to my heart. Molly Willow was our much-loved family dog, whose gentle nature and unconditional love brought us so much happiness. She is now over the rainbow bridge, but her memory lives on through my brand.

You may also spot Clover the owl in my drawings, inspired by an owl that regularly visited my parents garden and was loved by my dad, who also played the saxophone. These special memories often find their way into my illustrations.

Dolly and Teddy, my two much-loved spaniels, inspired their own book. Through their adventures, I wanted to capture moments from my family’s life, from mine and my brother’s childhood to my children’s milestones, graduations, family days and even my daughter’s first car, a Vauxhall Corsa with racing stripes.

Some of the character names in Dolly & Teddys book, have a personal meaning too. Benji is my brother’s name, and Doris is the name I’m affectionately known by at work.

Molly Willow is more than colouring books to me. Each page holds a little memory, imagination and piece of real life,in which we can all relate to.

My aim is to share my drawings and help others slow down, switch off and enjoy a peaceful moment of their own.
